Denton High School's LULAC Youth Council 1126 was founded in 2012 by sponsor Tim Sanchez. LULAC stands for the League of United Latin American Citizens, and strives to advance the rights of Latinos in the United States. LULAC has established Young Adult (University / Collegiate Level) and Youth (Middle / High School Level) councils to give young Latinos a voice for their civil rights.
